We do not sell, license, or use this information for any purpose other than fulfilling your order, except as required by law or as you specifically authorize.

E. U.S. Agent and Authorized-Recipient Information

When you appoint US Imports as your U.S. Agent (for FDA registration, FSVP, or Adverse Event purposes), we will receive and process correspondence directed to you in that capacity. This may include letters and notices from the FDA, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, other federal or state agencies, consumers, and third parties. We forward this correspondence to you in accordance with our service terms and retain copies as required by law and our records-retention policy.

F. Sensitive and Government-Identifier Information

Some regulatory filings require government-issued identifiers (for example, an EIN application requires the responsible party’s information; a DUNS application requires limited identifying details). We collect this information only when needed to complete the service you have purchased, transmit it only to the relevant government agency or authorized identifier provider, and apply heightened safeguards. We do not use sensitive personal information for marketing or analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

•        Operate, secure, and improve our website and services

•        Conduct analytics and measure the performance of marketing campaigns

•        Comply with legal obligations (tax, recordkeeping, FDA, IRS, and similar requirements)

•        Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

•        Enforce our Terms of Use, Terms of Service, and other contracts

We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases, depending on the activity:

•        Performance of a contract (e.g., delivering the services you purchase)

•        Legitimate interests (e.g., securing our site, improving services, limited direct marketing)

•        Consent (e.g., non-essential cookies, certain marketing communications)

•        Compliance with a legal obligation (e.g., tax, FDA, and recordkeeping requirements)

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

•        Essential cookies (required for site functionality, checkout, and login)

•        Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics — used to understand site usage and improve performance)

•        Marketing cookies (used in limited circumstances to measure ad effectiveness and reach prospective customers)

When you first visit USImports.us you will see a cookie banner that lets you accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time through the banner or your browser settings. To opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly, visit the Network Advertising Initiative (networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (aboutads.info/choices).

Government and regulatory agencies

Because we provide regulatory services, completing your order generally requires submitting information about you, your company, or your products to a government agency. Depending on the service, this may include:

•        U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) — for facility registration, U.S. Agent designation, FSVP, prior notice, FCE–SID, exporter list, and adverse-event recordkeeping

•        Dun & Bradstreet — for DUNS number applications

•        Other federal, state, or foreign agencies as required for a specific filing

Important note on public records. Certain information becomes part of the public record once it is filed with a government agency. For example, when an FDA Food Facility Registration is filed, the registered facility name, address, and U.S. Agent information may be made available by the FDA to the public or to third parties. Public-record disclosures of this kind are not controlled by US Imports and are not governed by this Privacy Policy.

Professional advisors

•        Outside legal counsel, accountants, and compliance consultants engaged by US Imports under confidentiality obligations

We do not automatically share your information with our affiliated entities Startup Food Biz , LLC or Morsel Law PLC. We may share limited information across affiliates (a) when you specifically authorize us to do so, (b) for administrative purposes such as fraud prevention and back-office support, or (c) where required by law.

Legal requirements and protection of rights

We may disclose your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

•        Comply with a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process

•        Respond to a lawful request from a public authority

•        Enforce our Terms of Use, Terms of Service, or other agreements

•        Protect the rights, property, or safety of US Imports, our customers, or others

•        Investigate, prevent, or address suspected fraud, security incidents, or illegal activity

Business transfers

If US Imports is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or material change in the handling of your personal information, and we will continue to honor the commitments we made in the version of this Privacy Policy under which your information was collected.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising without providing the disclosures and opt-out rights required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal and business information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

•        Active customer accounts: for the duration of the customer relationship

•        Billing and tax records: generally seven (7) years, consistent with U.S. tax and accounting standards

•        FDA, FSVP, and other regulatory filings: for the period required by the applicable regulation, which in some cases is several years after the filing is made

•        U.S. Agent correspondence: retained as needed to demonstrate timely receipt and forwarding, in accordance with our service terms

•        Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe; unsubscribe records are kept permanently so we can honor your opt-out

•        Website analytics data: typically up to 26 months, in line with industry defaults

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete it or convert it to an anonymized or aggregated form that cannot be linked back to you.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:

•        Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL

11. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond, USImports.us does not currently change its data-collection practices in response to these signals. You can still control cookies through our cookie banner and your browser settings.
