The Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) rule was created to address the food safety hazards posed by imported foods. All importers of food and dietary supplements are required to develop, maintain and follow an FSVP Plan. The FSVP Plan is to provide adequate assurances that the foreign supplier uses processes and procedures that provide the same level of public health protection as those required in the United States. Products offered for import into the U.S. without an adequate FSVP Plan will be refused entry.
US Imports specialists can help develop or review your existing FSVP Plan to ensure FDA compliance.
