All U.S. and foreign facilities that manufacture, process, pack or store food, beverage or dietary supplements to be consumed in the United States must register with Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Facilities not located in the United States must appoint a U.S. Agent physically located in the United States to communicate with FDA.
What you'll get:
- Facility registration with the FDA.
- Certificate confirming your FDA registration number.
- U.S. Imports will serve as your U.S. Agent, and be available to do the following:
- Assist the FDA in communications with the facility
- Respond to questions concerning the facility's products that are imported or offered for import into the United States
- Assist the FDA in scheduling inspections of the facility
Note: certain requirements must be fulfilled before U.S. Imports can begin serving as your U.S. Agent. You will not be able to identify U.S. Imports as your U.S. Agent until confirmation is received from the FDA.
